Commercials...you either love them or you hate them. Navigating the commercial audition will provide experience taking direction, slating, improvising, and learning about the casting process. You’ll master hitting a mark, working with multiple eye-lines, and dealing with last-minute script changes. These technical skills will certainly come in handy on a film or TV set.

 

And as an added bonus, commercials produced by reputable companies pay actors very handsomely. How awesome would it be to have an influx of spare cash to pay for acting classes and those new headshots?

Day 1: Saturday, February 20th, 10 am to 4 pm PST

Actors will coach on Saturday with Jessie, and everyone will work with Sean on Sunday. 

 

DAY 1: Coach your audition live online with Jessie, with an eye on creating a commercial audition that 'solves the problem' and 'sells'. All coaching work is filmed and emailed to you overnight so you have the chance to review before you get one on one with Casting on Sunday.

Day 2:  Sunday, February 21st, 12 pm-6 pm PST

​

Work one on one, live online with Sean.  You’ll take notes, adjust,  ask personal/career questions, and build your rep and rapport.

​

All participants will be able to watch all work with casting (unless the actor opts for private work which we will happily facilitate!)

​

Finally, we’ll wrap up with a group Q&A, discussing whatever questions we have in mind, but especially the road ahead and how to make the most of the historic opportunity immediately ahead for Canadian actors.
