"No redirect required"
That's the goal.
In this new age of auditioning and casting direct from tape, we’ve lost the in the room redirect. This piece is often times so vital to hitting home the short scene auditions. A simple redirect from the casting director that drops that two to five-line character into the zone that they need to exist in.
This is a LEARNABLE skill. The actor who understands the purpose our character serves from the perspective of the audience, and from the lead characters, how to be interesting enough to engage, but forgettable enough to serve our purpose, and how/where to add to incredibly short/limited scenes has an edge within the ‘self tape sea’.
Be the actor who gives the ‘no redirect required’ on those short scenes, and stand out as a result.

Day 1: Friday OR Saturday
Actors will coach on Friday or Saturday with Jessie, and everyone will work with Candice on Sunday.
Spend the first day coaching two short scenes, (assigned by Candice) with Jessie. As a group you’ll learn how to make this smart choices that serve their purpose/function for the role.
All coaching work is filmed and emailed to you overnight so you have the chance to review before you get one on one with Candice on Sunday.
Day 2: Sunday
Work one on one, live online with Candice Elzinga. You’ll take notes, adjust, ask personal/career questions, build your rep and rapport.
All participants will be able to watch all work with casting.
Finally, we’ll wrap up with a group Q&A, discussing whatever questions we have in mind.
