This 4-day Workshop with Terry Knickerbocker is a rare opportunity for the perfect introduction to the Meisner Technique for beginner actors, and a powerful refresher for seasoned professionals looking to reset or recharge their craft. Like practicing scales on a piano, the repetition exercises at the heart of the Meisner Technique build the foundation for emotional truth, spontaneity, and presence in your acting. You’ll start by presenting a one-minute contemporary monologue (must be fully memorized and performance ready!), then dive into core Meisner principles: truthful listening, spontaneous response, and authentic connection. Over the four days, you’ll work with fellow actors, applying the technique to your monologue, and on the final day, you’ll present it again, fully integrating what you’ve learned. Whether you’re new to the technique or refining your skills, this workshop will elevate your craft to new levels! November 3, 4, 6, 7 9:30am-1:30pm each day. price includes 5% gst

If something unexpected comes up for you and you advise us AT LEAST FOURTEEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE START DATE of the workshop, we will provide a STANDBY CREDIT for a future instalment of the same workshop. This credit will remain valid for one full year from the date your withdrawal request is received. After that time, the standby credit is expired and no longer valid. “STANDBY CREDIT” means that when we are offering the same workshop/workshop type with the same teacher, if there is an open after workshop registration closes, you can use your credit to attend. Clients are responsible to notify JBA that they wish to use their standby credit if possible for an upcoming workshop.
