Scene Study for Advanced Actors

with Jeb Beach

Service Description

This is a five-week class built around deep, sustained work on a scene from a contemporary play. Actors are paired with a scene partner and select a 10 to 15-minute scene. JBA will provide resources and support in finding appropriate material. Week One is devoted to an in-depth analysis of the text, character, relationships, circumstances, and dramatic structure. The remaining four weeks focus on working and developing the scene in class. Come prepared to work fully. Scenes should be memorized, props should be brought when needed, and actors should arrive emotionally available and ready to explore. This class requires commitment beyond the classroom. You and your scene partner are expected to rehearse between every class. The goal is not performance. The goal is growth. Growth takes curiosity, courage, discipline, and sustained commitment to the work. price includes 5% GST
